Random pictures from March that didn't end up in any other post.

This week wasn't nearly as crazy busy as last week. Thankfully! I did well keeping up with a picture a day - even if I only took one (and that only happened one day)!

Sunday evening before church, we stopped by Autumn Leaves (a memory care center) to visit with Jon's mom (better known as Mimi to the kids). The kids are a big hit up there as many of the residents enjoy seeing them!

Clayton with one of his big Lego creations!

Clayton getting a (very) rare chance to play a few games on my kindle after he finished learning all his Bible verses for class this week!

We got a new Lego set this week and the kids have played wonderfully well together building and rebuilding many of the things from the set. I took pictures of most of them, but the penguins were my favorite!

We stopped by Freeman's Mill Park on Thursday. The kids had a great time playing on the playground!

Shelby not having a good day at Classical Conversations this week. She was upset not to be participating in one of the things things for Clayton's class.

A beautiful rosebud tree at the zoo today! I've been admiring all the pretty trees around here, and these are one of my favorites!

Saturday, March 21, 2015

I can't believe we're already nearing the end of March! I actually did decently well keeping up with pictures this week, but sadly, all my pictures from Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday (except later Tuesday night) were somehow lost. I'm still not sure how that happened, although I wouldn't be surprised if some little people were involved in that! It's certainly disappointing as I took many pictures at Clayton's first Lego derby Monday evening. Oh well, things happen, and thankfully it doesn't really matter.

Tuesday evening I went over to Bethany's to finish up our tie-dying project. Mercy Rosie got out of bed and was so sweet! She's wearing the necklace Clayton made her for her birthday!

Avalyn's rubber band ball.

The paper towel we were using to dry our hands between colors. I loved how it changed colors too!

Shelby did not want to wake up from her nap on Wednesday!

Jon and Cheyenne holding hands while reading the Bible Thursday evening. I DID wait until we were done to go get my camera!

Friday afternoon, we stopped by the park so I could try to get a picture or two of the kids' new tie-dyed shirts. Can you tell who didn't get a nap?

Cheyenne with her cousin Katherine at dinner Saturday!

In March, Bethany and I got together and made a bunch of tie dyed clothes for our kids. A day or two later I realized that my pictures of the process (and some other events) had been deleted from camera. So I decided to play with my tripod and self-timer to get some pictures of the kids just wearing their shirts. They truly are that bright!!

On a foggy morning before Classical Conversations. I loved the foggy background to contrast their bright shirts. (If only I'd thought to make them take their duller sweaters off!)

Shelby being goofy about the self-timer and tripod set to take so many pictures!

And I'm even worse about silly faces!

A quick stop at the park for another group shot. I would have tried other places as well, but the kids were not up for cooperating that day.

It's been a busy week and looks to be busy for the next couple weeks as well! As such, I've found it hard to pick up my camera every day, let alone take the time to learn anything new. Anyway, here's what I took this week.

It's rare that Jon will willingly let me take his picture. I love this one!

Shelby: No one will get on with me! (The see-saw is certainly hard to do alone!)

The girls had fun "painting" a few of our trees with chalk that had been soaked in water. It was messy but turned out pretty! We were disappointed that it rained so soon (the next day) and washed it all off.

The girls had fun playing out on the porch while it was raining. They decided that the umbrella made a great house and slide for their ponies.

These are some of the girl's "My Little Ponies": Derpy, Lyra, Cheerilee, Rainbow Dash, and Pinkie Pie. (Yes I did have to look a few of those up!)

Cheyenne has always asked for a sip or more of Jon's or my coffee. For the last week or so I've been letting her have her own mug with about 1/3 cup of bullet proof coffee in it whenever I drink some - which isn't every day. She's been loving it!

Celebrating Pi day today? I decided to make a few pies to celebrate, although we couldn't eat them today as I was making them to take to church tomorrow.

Who I Am

My photo
We're the Presley family. Jon and I met and got married in 2004. The circumstances behind all that were not the best, but God has truly turned our many mistakes into good! Only by His grace and mercy are we where we are today. We have four wonderfully crazy kids that are between four and eight years old. Jon is an HVAC technician and I stay at home to attempt to teach and train our kids in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. It's a challenging job, and one I fail at constantly. But God does and will continue to sustain and uphold me and give me grace to do this amazing task he's called me to do. ~For nothing is impossible with God! Luke 1:37
