A little bit of everything about our lives!

Here's just a few pictures that didn't end up anywhere else.

Oh that pony tail is too much!!

Paige learned to read - and wanted to read some Calvin & Hobbes!

Me being silly - pretending to eat the no bake cookie batter straight out of the pan.

Shelby at the park.

Cheyenne going across the monkey bars.

From our trip to the Tennessee Aquarium in March.

I loved the way the fog was resting on the top of the water!

Mercy and the Piranhas staring at each other. The way the Piranhas sit and stare is so creepy!

A group picture - with the flash (hence the funny looks). I couldn't get enough light without it!

Clayton holding a butterfly.

During a talk at one of the big tanks, the shark kept swimming around the guys in the tank. The guy on the left used the rod to keep the shark at a distance - but it wasn't very far away!

A sign on the wall that I thought was neat.

Mercy and Cheyenne in front of a tank of small jellies.

In the mirrored jelly room.

My favorite jellies! I love the color and flow of these!

Earlier this year our family went in with Jon's brother and purchased a camper. We took it out for our first trip to Bolding Mill Campground on Lake Lanier. It was a little cooler than we first expected and I had to go home and pick up sweaters, but we had a great weekend!

The girls playing in the dirt - which they did all weekend!

Paige throwing rocks into the lake.

Shelby riding her bike.

Jon riding his bike.

Paige and Shelby playing with cars. These were a huge hit at the campground and they played with them all weekend!

Carved into our picnic table.

The view from the bottom of our campground.

Clayton throwing (bigger) rocks into the lake!

Shelby and Paige still playing with the cars.

The kiddos walking to the beach area with the fishing poles.

Shelby wanted to get in the cold water.

"It's not cold, Mommy!"

Paige trying her hand at fishing...

...but didn't catch anything.

Cheyenne giving fishing a try as well.

Clayton was more enthusiastic about the fishing!

My crew.

View from my perch above the beach.

Shelby wanted to try fishing as well.

Paige trying her best not to get her dress wet.

Fishing again.

Clayton asked for a chair so he could sit and fish. He didn't last too long since the fish weren't biting.

The girls finally couldn't stand it anymore, so I let them get in the water. It was cold though, so they didn't stay in long!

Our first annual Walk Worthy Day at the capitol was a huge success! The event was organized by our very own American Heritage Girls Vice Coordinator Beth Nafziger, our Trail Life/AHG charter rep Marvin Burr, and Representative John Carson. I went as an AHG leader with all my kiddos in tow. I took a bunch of pictures, but am limiting this post to ones of mostly my kids (with exception for the big group picture and people I've asked permission from before).

We *barely* made it to the bus stop to catch a Gwinnett Transit bus downtown. We did make it though and enjoyed not having to deal with traffic!

Representative John Carson

A lady from American Heritage Girls (I can't remember her name!) and Marvin Burr.

I absolutely love the details of the capitol building! There are so many interesting architectural designs, I ended up taking quite a few pictures of just them.

The entire group that showed up! People from many different troops across Georgia. My kids and I are all hiding in this picture somewhere!

One of the doorknobs.

Shelby freaking me out with about the height and her ability to get through the columns. She thought it was quite amusing!

The wood around the door frames.

Outside eating lunch, I noticed the reflection of the capitol on the glass building and thought it looked cool.

Our troops!

A lovely flower!

Over the windows on the outside of the capitol.

A fun part of the day was watching this police dog in action. Nobody bothered to let me know that they had hidden something for him to find right behind where I chose to sit! Thankfully I wasn't too much in his way though...

Shelby enjoying her conversation with Sarah.

Even the vents were pretty!

A picture with the AHG lady. My girls of course had to be silly!

With the Klinect girls, again my girls had to be the goofy ones!

Under the rotunda.

Emily and Paige across the rotunda.

Sarah with Shelby and Cheyenne.

My goofy girls!

All my kiddos on the steps before leaving.

Clayton with his best friend Buddy.

The gold dome of the capitol.

Shelby watching out the window of the bus...

...until she and Paige both crashed.

Who I Am

My photo
We're the Presley family. Jon and I met and got married in 2004. The circumstances behind all that were not the best, but God has truly turned our many mistakes into good! Only by His grace and mercy are we where we are today. We have four wonderfully crazy kids that are between four and eight years old. Jon is an HVAC technician and I stay at home to attempt to teach and train our kids in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. It's a challenging job, and one I fail at constantly. But God does and will continue to sustain and uphold me and give me grace to do this amazing task he's called me to do. ~For nothing is impossible with God! Luke 1:37
