A little bit of everything about our lives!

These are just a few pictures from August that didn't get included in any other post.

Paige and Cheyenne being silly before American Heritage Girls.

Shelby working hard putting her Lego set together.

Shelby was grumpy about having to walk so far into the zoo. We had to park farther away than we ever had before!

Shelby enjoying the carousel.

I'm a week late posting this, but it's been a very busy week! Getting ready for vacation, ongoing school work, and extra cooking makes for not much free time.

The front of my great-grandpa's old tackle box.

The contents inside were even more fascinating!!

At Bunten Road Park with Bethany and all the kiddos. Clayton climbed up to the top of this slide and realized it was higher than he thought. He was just a slight bit uncomfortable about making his way back down!

All the kiddos (including Patrick!) on the neat swing at Bunten Road Park.

First day of Covenant Classes for my crew. Not quite kindergarten, 1st grade, 3rd grade, and 4th grade. They were all excited to go!!

Shelby even more upset at me trying to get a picture of her pouty lip. She was terribly distraught that we had to park SO FAR away from the Zoo on Saturday (who knew there was some huge thing going on at Grant Park last Saturday?).

Shelby crashed that night....

One day in August, Bethany and I met at Bunten Road Park for the kids to play. It's a neat playground with a couple really fun features!

Clayton loves the spiderweb climbing things (whatever they're called)!

This swing is the neatest thing ever! It's so fun and all the kids (plus me!) enjoyed getting on it!

Keira and Cheyenne

Clayton climbed all the way up the outside of this slide!

Paige sitting on top of the merry-go-round kind of thing. The kids enjoyed hanging onto the handles and having me spin them around on this. It was hard for me to help them get on and keep them going though!

I did better this week taking pictures. I still missed a couple days (I filled them in with extras from the zoo), but I did take more!

We actually took the time to go watch the giraffes at the zoo this week. We normally skip over their exhibit, but were exited to see four or five of them out at the same time!

We always enjoy watching the gorillas. I was hoping to catch the baby looking at the camera as well, but he didn't want to cooperate!

The kids got their favorite seat on the train!

Paige requested cupcakes for her birthday on Thursday. Because I thought it was going to be a crazy day, I made them on Wednesday instead. No one could stand to wait until Thursday to celebrate after they came out of the oven, so we celebrated her 6th birthday a day early!

Our original Thursday plans didn't happen, so Bethany decided to bring her kiddos over to our house to ride bikes and play outside. They had a great time playing together!

Paige just loves the babies! She asked if she could hold Patrick, and just giggled and grinned the whole time!

Paige concentrating hard while putting together her Lego set that she got for her birthday!

On August 20th, Bethany came over so all the kiddos could play outside together. I didn't take many pictures, but got a group shot and several of Paige holding Patrick.

I love this group picture!

And the necessary goofy one!

I know this is a little blurry, but I just LOVE Paige's big smile!

And her sweet little hug!

And those eyes!

Paige's 6th Birthday

We don't do birthdays too big around here, but we try to have a special dinner and a gift or two. Paige turned SIX in August! I can't believe how much our little Doodle has grown up!

The reward for helping make her cupcakes: licking the beater!

The most delicious chocolate cupcakes with peanut butter frosting (which rivals cream cheese frosting as my favorite)!

My sweet six year old!

Blowing out her candle.

About to open her present....

....and it's new Legos!

Who I Am

My photo
We're the Presley family. Jon and I met and got married in 2004. The circumstances behind all that were not the best, but God has truly turned our many mistakes into good! Only by His grace and mercy are we where we are today. We have four wonderfully crazy kids that are between four and eight years old. Jon is an HVAC technician and I stay at home to attempt to teach and train our kids in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. It's a challenging job, and one I fail at constantly. But God does and will continue to sustain and uphold me and give me grace to do this amazing task he's called me to do. ~For nothing is impossible with God! Luke 1:37
