A little bit of everything about our lives!

I made it to the end of week five! Today has been the hardest day to worry about pictures and getting them all edited and ready to post. It's been a busy day! The next few weeks look to be insanely crazy, so hopefully I can keep up with this and learn some new things as well (since that hasn't happened much at all yet). Anyway, here's what I got this week!

Sunday afternoons sometimes turn into game time for the kids. They occasionally nap during church (which we try to prevent, but doesn't always work), and so they'll spend the afternoon quietly playing. Paige and Shelby were playing a game of Sequence for Kids!

Monday night is our activity night out. Clayton is in Trail Life USA and Cheyenne is in American Heritage Girls. She's done really well earning service stars (for hours spent serving/helping others)!

Tuesday evening ended up with all the girls in Jon's lap at once. I had to get a picture and of course, after a normal one, the girls asked for a goofy picture. Jon even joined in on the fun!

Wednesday was our first dentist appointment in a long time. Cheyenne was so excited and didn't mind one bit going (better her than me)!

I went out Thursday without my camera and ended up not taking any pictures - until this one at bed time. This is the current book I'm reading. It's an excellent book!!

After Classical Conversations on Friday we headed to Auburn Park for a few minutes. The kids love the old merry-go-round they have there!

I made Clayton an account on Khan Academy. It's a completely free, online learning website. He spent a good bit of the evening Friday (voluntarily) working on math. Then spent most of the day Saturday learning about programming. I stood by watching for a while and was fascinated with it myself! He's enjoyed it immensely and I can tell he's already learned quite a good bit. We are really impressed with their set up!

After Classical Conversations one Friday afternoon in January, we decided to head to Auburn Park for a little bit to play. We really like this park because it has some classic playground equipment including: a metal slide, a metal merry-go-round, rocking animals that actually have a decent spring on them, a metal roller ball thing you can walk on (sorry, no clue what those are called!), and swings with much longer than normal chains that you can get really high while swinging! We need to head back there soon - anyone up for joining us?

I took a LOT of pictures this week! Almost all of all of them were taken Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday though. I had a hard time picking my favorite from those days, and I was extremely tired tonight, so I kinda rushed through getting them ready to post. I'll post more from our big adventures this week when I get a chance!

Sunday was once again a hard day to shoot. I ended up just taking this picture of the bracelet Clayton made. He was excited to get it done!

Monday was an absolutely gorgeous day! We spent almost three hours at the park! The sky was so beautiful and my kids were great about letting me take tons of pictures in lots of different areas of the park.

Clayton had started the grill and was keeping an eye on it while showing Cheyenne what to do as well. After it got going they sat down and were looking at their new Calvin & Hobbes book together!

Wednesday was another gorgeous day, so we went to Ivy Creek Greenway with mom (since Wednesday's are Mamaw day!). The kids loved being able to get so close to the waterfall and want to go back as soon as it gets warmer!

Paige on the playground at church during Covenant Classes.

Friday was my first day not getting any pictures. It was a crazy busy day filled with Classical Conversations, home for a nap (including me), and then Cheyenne and I going to the annual American Heritage Girls lock-in! I gave my camera to another young lady once we go there and she took a bunch of pictures at the lock-in, but I didn't take any while it was still Friday.

So here instead is a picture of my lovely mama from Wednesday's trip to Ivy Creek Greenway!

Bright and early Saturday morning, Cheyenne finally passed out at the lock-in. I snapped this picture of her right before we headed for home (to get some much needed rest)!

I drive up and down Highway 20 multiple times every week and I've regularly noticed a walkway and a waterfall that I've always wanted to go see. So on January 21st Mom and I took advantage of the beautiful weather and went and found it! It was a neat little place and the kids are hoping to go back when it's warmer so they can actually put their feet in the water!

I just loved the green undersides of the bridges!!

Shelby's expression here is just too cute!

The kiddos against the fence.

Shelby was excited that she could touch part of the bridge!

Bridges and more bridges!

Trying to see the waterfall (we were getting closer). And this was the true sky color (no crazy editing)!

I love Cheyenne's excitement here!

All the kiddos in front of the waterfall.

My wonderful mama!

My sweet Chey!

Paige doing her best NOT to get wet (it was so tempting)!

Part of the waterfall.

Clayton watching the water.

This picture isn't as clear (since Cheyenne and Shelby were throwing rocks), but I wanted to include it only because they are standing as close to the edge of a decently steep hill into the water below. I did NOT like them being that close, but they wouldn't listen very well, so I took a quick picture before leaving from this area altogether.

We were given a membership to Zoo Atlanta for Christmas a year ago (thanks to the kid's Grandpa & Grandma!). The kids and I enjoyed going once a month, so when they renewed our membership for Christmas this year we were very excited to be able to keep going! We took advantage of a beautiful January day to go for the first time this year.

These were all taken at a neat bridge I saw in Grant Park before heading into the zoo. We decided to head over and check it out first!

One of the lions. I can't remember if this is a picture of the mama or one of the babies (which aren't quite babies anymore!).

Cheyenne ready to leave the pandas (after much waiting)!

Who I Am

My photo
We're the Presley family. Jon and I met and got married in 2004. The circumstances behind all that were not the best, but God has truly turned our many mistakes into good! Only by His grace and mercy are we where we are today. We have four wonderfully crazy kids that are between four and eight years old. Jon is an HVAC technician and I stay at home to attempt to teach and train our kids in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. It's a challenging job, and one I fail at constantly. But God does and will continue to sustain and uphold me and give me grace to do this amazing task he's called me to do. ~For nothing is impossible with God! Luke 1:37
