365 in 2015 - End of Week 24

This week was a busy one! I managed to take pictures every day except Sunday (which is a perpetual problem). I also started back with my kettle bells, after a long break. Hoping to keep up with a routine again!

We went to the zoo on Monday with Bethany. The kids enjoyed having their ride wristbands so they can ride everything as many times as they like! They also played in the splash pad because it was a hot day! 

After the zoo I stopped by Ikea to pick up a couple things. The kids absolutely love the travelator! Paige and Shelby rode down in a cart this time. 

On Tuesday we went to a friend's neighborhood pool. The kids enjoyed going down the slide!

Some new decorations I put up in the house. These are actually cards, but I hung them up since they all have Bible verses on them. They are from Hope Ink!

365 in 2015 - End of Week 11

It's been a busy week and looks to be busy for the next couple weeks as well! As such, I've found it hard to pick up my camera every day, let alone take the time to learn anything new. Anyway, here's what I took this week.

It's rare that Jon will willingly let me take his picture. I love this one! 

Shelby: No one will get on with me! (The see-saw is certainly hard to do alone!)

The girls had fun "painting" a few of our trees with chalk that had been soaked in water. It was messy but turned out pretty! We were disappointed that it rained so soon (the next day) and washed it all off. 

The girls had fun playing out on the porch while it was raining. They decided that the umbrella made a great house and slide for their ponies.

These are some of the girl's "My Little Ponies": Derpy, Lyra, Cheerilee, Rainbow Dash, and Pinkie Pie. (Yes I did have to look a few of those up!)

Cheyenne has always asked for a sip or more of Jon's or my coffee. For the last week or so I've been letting her have her own mug with about 1/3 cup of bullet proof coffee in it whenever I drink some - which isn't every day. She's been loving it! 

Celebrating Pi day today? I decided to make a few pies to celebrate, although we couldn't eat them today as I was making them to take to church tomorrow. 

Tree Painting

I saw an idea online somewhere about soaking chalk and "painting" trees. One day when the girls were wanting something crafty to do, I decided to use up one of the many boxes of chalk we have to let them paint the smoother trees we have in our yard. The girls had a fun time painting them and got thoroughly messy in the process! Clayton joined in for a little bit, but quickly decided that wasn't something he cared to do.
