Random February Pictures

Here's the extra pictures that didn't make it into any previous post from February. I'm trying to get caught up!

Shelby crashed one afternoon at co-op. I realized that I hadn't seen or heard from her in a while and went to check on her and found her asleep in the nursery!

Patrick being cute while I was trying to sew. He thought hanging out under the sewing table was great fun!

Clayton wanted to make a small scale model of the tree house he wants to build. Hopefully one day (sooner rather than later) we can actually build one!

Shelby asleep on the couch.

Clayton was so very proud of these suspenders!

Patrick playing with the tape ball we made after basting a quilt.

I'm a couple weeks behind posts for my 365 project. I just couldn't seem to get excited about doing the rest of November's pictures. I figured out why while I was doing the ones for this post (from the week of November 15th - 21st): I just didn't take very many, and I only liked a couple of the ones I did take. I'm still posting them all here because I feel like I need to and I'm so close to the end! I am definitely ready to be done though. One thing to note is that I have kept my camera on manual mode almost exclusively since October! I've learned more and more things the more pictures I take and I really wish I had done that earlier this year! As will be obvious with this post though, I still have a lot to learn!

Fun Fabric: I found this lovely Christmas print at Joann's and decided to make a tree skirt out of it! This is the first Christmas I get to use it! (I made it in July, but never took pictures of it.)

Comfy spots for homeschooling: The kids needed to watch a short video for their history class. They enjoyed laying on the bed to watch it!

Sharing: The girls played so nicely with Cheyenne's glowing art board! The took turns coloring on it and creating different people.

Baby love: Paige loves her cousin Patrick! And I just love those smiles!

Sweet moments with friends and cousins: The kids enjoying a sweet moment at co-op on Thursday!

Windows: I was just extremely thankful that this thing was not INSIDE my car. Have you seen those stories about people jumping out of their cars or something crazy like that? Yeah, that could have been me! (You should have seen how I acted with it on the outside!!)

Naps: Shelby decided she needed one on her own. Which is why she is on the floor....behind Jon's chair. Notice she put her skirt on backward! :-)

This post is for the random pictures that didn't make it into any previous post during the month of July.

Cheyenne and Paige's first trip to Six Flags. We left early and got there right before the park opened. I planned to keep my phone tucked away for most of the day, so I snapped this quick picture before heading in!

Paige and I got stuck on the Mind Bender on our second time on it. I decided to pull my phone out and take a picture of us! This girl LOVED the roller coasters and desperately wished she was taller so she could have ridden more!

The kids sitting outside to eat some muffins - and watch the birds.

Shelby in the tree!

Chick-fil-A cow appreciation day!

Clayton reading a story to his sisters.

Paige curled up in our bed for a rare nap!

Sunday, May 31, 2015

I finally finished catching up for May! Things have been crazy and busy and I just don't want to devote gobs of time to pictures. Such a poor excuse, but honestly there are more important things. I do want to catch up, it just might not happen as fast as I wish it could.

Cheyenne taking a very rare nap!

Crazy Cheyenne making faces at me when going to bed.

And of course, sleeping in sunglasses is all the rage!

Benefits of helping mommy cook - taste testing cake batter!

Shelby's favorite spot to sit and play. She loves this puzzle and worked on it for hours on end!

My sweet Chey tied a ribbon in her hair.

Paige after field day. She was so completely worn out she just passed out on the floor!

Cheyenne, Clayton, and Avalyn at church one night. I thought it was funny they all wore their Bible bee shirts.

This one is being kept safe for later!!

On May 22nd, I took the kids to Hebron Baptist Church to watch a movie on the lawn. The kids enjoyed playing on their pirate ship (made for their upcoming vacation Bible camp week) and in the field before the movie started. We had a great time, although it ended up being cold after the sun went down and we weren't prepared for that!

Shelby passed out before it was over!

This past week must have been a weary one for my younger girls. They have pretty much quit taking naps, but Shelby put herself to bed three times this week and Paige once! It was a theme in my pictures as I was surprised by the fact that they were asleep in the middle of the day (who would have thought?).

A mother's day morning quick photo shoot. We were running extra early for church, so I took the time to snap a few pictures of the kids. They were being goofy (and watching the neighbor's dogs) while trying not to get eaten alive by mosquitoes.

Clayton wanted to take our picture. I think he did a fine job! (I missed out on Monday, so an extra from Sunday fills in.)

Shelby's first nap of the week - on the couch.

Why can't I wear sunglasses to bed?

Both Paige and Shelby took a nap Thursday!

Fun at Alexander Park!

Shelby napping again. Growth spurt? Or too much activities?

Saturday, May 9, 2015

I can't seem to keep caught up with these posts anymore. I did a good job through the middle of April, then I completely got messed up and haven't gotten back on track. Anyway, since it's not that terribly important anyway, I haven't worried too much about it. I just didn't want to get so far behind as to forget what weeks I'm supposed to be doing!

Shelby made a friend at the Trail Life camp out! Here she was just talking and talking to him when we were packing up to go home.

Monday was American Heritage Girl's messy game night. Paige did not want to play most of the messiest games, but she did play musical chairs (with plates full of shaving cream).

Cheyenne also enjoyed messy game night! She was one of the cleaner girls there since she also wanted to stay out of a couple of the messiest games. She still needed a bath when she got home though!

A favorite pass time around here is Family Fluxx. The kids pull it out and play it on their own!

I noticed these beautiful flowers in our yard on Wednesday. I don't think we've had very many of these before, and they really popped out this year!

Paige being goofy while we were reading a story before bedtime. Obviously I took a break from reading to take a couple pictures, and Paige was all giggly because of my many attempts to catch her smiling.

Paige and Shelby before the production of Wonderland and Into the Woods put on by Artios Academies. The play was wonderful and these two went home singing the songs from the plays for the next couple days!

This isn't the clearest picture, but I just snapped a quick shot of Shelby in her bed Saturday afternoon. Naps are actually a rare thing anymore, and Shelby put herself to bed! I don't remember what all we had done earlier that day, but she was tired and went to bed.

Who I Am

My photo
We're the Presley family. Jon and I met and got married in 2004. The circumstances behind all that were not the best, but God has truly turned our many mistakes into good! Only by His grace and mercy are we where we are today. We have four wonderfully crazy kids that are between four and eight years old. Jon is an HVAC technician and I stay at home to attempt to teach and train our kids in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. It's a challenging job, and one I fail at constantly. But God does and will continue to sustain and uphold me and give me grace to do this amazing task he's called me to do. ~For nothing is impossible with God! Luke 1:37
