On our second camping trip with the camper, we headed up to Lake Lanier again. This time we went to Shady Grove campground in Cumming. The campground is a very nice one, but the spot we got wasn't so great for setting up a camper. We made it work though and had a great time! It was a cooler and windy weekend, so we sat by the fire and bundled up quite a bit.

The beautiful view from our site.

I thought this tree was neat.

Shelby found a seat.

Shelby getting dangerously close to the water. I kept telling her she better not fall in!

Sweet Shelbs.

Shelby and Paige playing on the beach. The sand was COLD!

Paige buried her feet.

Shelby did too.

My goofy girls playing Slap Jack. Paige got one!

Jon reading to the girls.

More view from our site.

The trees above.

Shelby bundled up in her chair with her blankie.

Being goofy again!

Walking along the rocks near the water.

Shelby just chillin' with her doll.

Cheyenne playing with the fire and keeping it going.

Yes, Clayton was there too! I'm not sure why I only got this one picture of him!

I'm a couple weeks behind posting pictures because we went of vacation. We went to the beach for two weeks and had a great and restful time! This week's pictures are from Destin.

Sunday evening at the beach - a beautiful rainbow was over the water!

On Monday we decided to rent a couple chairs from the beach service. We spent all day down at the beach (minus a short break to eat lunch).

A family picture on the beach.

Pretty palm trees and clouds - a view from the pool.

Watching the storm clouds form over the water. This storm didn't come in to shore, and dissipated quickly.

I only took a picture of the girls napping on Friday, so I decided to pull an extra from Saturday. This is from our trip to the National Naval Aviation Museum. Am I the only one that saw a fish?

The sunset in Navarre after arriving there for our second week.

My kids (and I) really enjoyed Big Hero 6. So when Lawrenceville Lawn announced that as their movie on the lawn for June, we decided to go. We picked up a pizza and headed there early to play and have our choice of seat. The kids had a blast playing on the playground, while waiting for the movie. At one point it started to rain, but it stopped in less than five minutes and everything cleared up. Jon joined us for a little bit, but was really tired, so he decided to go home early.

Cheyenne on the merry-go-round.

I was sitting on the merry-go-round with Shelby, so I thought it was funny that I got her with three different backgrounds!

Cheyenne on whatever this spinny thing is called.

The pretty clouds and sun!

Shelby on the spiderweb climb.

Shelby being silly.

Clayton climbing on the playground.

Paige actually sat still for a minute for me!

This picture just amuses me!

Cheyenne made a friend.

This week was a crazy, crazy one! We had an ice storm Monday night into Tuesday. My kids had finally gotten over the lingering colds they had had only to get a stomach virus as well. We had a pipe freeze (but thankfully thaw out and not burst), our heat kept not working properly thanks to low gas pressure (Jon thinks it's a city problem since nothing he's tried to fix it has worked), and we got to meet with our lawyer and the City of Lawrenceville for mediation because of ongoing storm water runoff issues. And I only missed one day! Needless to say, I made what pictures I took fit into another random assortment of topics from multiple photo challenges.

Day 15: (Stuffed) Animal
Shelby couldn't get any of her siblings to play her in a game of chess, so she set up the game with her bear, Myna. I must say I was impressed she completely knew how to set up the board correctly! I didn't see the complete game, so I'm not sure how much she remembers of how to move each piece, but her brother has taught her well!

Day 16: Growing Up
Our regular Monday plans got cancelled because of the coming storm, so we finally let Clayton watch Jurassic Park. He'd been wanting to see it for a long time and he was thrilled to finally be allowed. I remember being terrified watching that movie in the theater when it came out, but he got up thinking it wasn't scary at all! (The girls were watching a girly movie on our computer instead.)

Day 17: Ice
We woke up Tuesday to lots of ice and no power! We headed to mom's house for a little while since we couldn't make anything to eat at home and she still had power. I took a bunch of pictures which are in a couple other posts. These two were my favorites by far though, so I saved them for my 365 post!

Day 18: Sunset
The sky was absolutely gorgeous Wednesday evening! I had to run out to the store and made a detour to get the best view of this sky (while still staying relatively close to the house).

Day 19: Freedom
Shelby was the first to get sick this week, and she was also the first to get better. Her sisters went down, and she took advantage of the situation to go play with their toys in their bed. I don't know how long she sat up in Paige's bed playing with her ponies and dolls. She was quite content playing happily by herself!

Day 20: Someone you love
My sweet Chey (say it "shy") letting me take her picture after she was feeling better!

Day 21: Colorful
This is Shelby's favorite toy! It plays each instrument's sound and you can add multiple instruments to the middle to hear them together. It's a really neat toy, and one all the kids actually enjoy!

Who I Am

My photo
We're the Presley family. Jon and I met and got married in 2004. The circumstances behind all that were not the best, but God has truly turned our many mistakes into good! Only by His grace and mercy are we where we are today. We have four wonderfully crazy kids that are between four and eight years old. Jon is an HVAC technician and I stay at home to attempt to teach and train our kids in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. It's a challenging job, and one I fail at constantly. But God does and will continue to sustain and uphold me and give me grace to do this amazing task he's called me to do. ~For nothing is impossible with God! Luke 1:37
