Last night the girls all participated in our American Heritage Troop's Messy Game Night. Our coordinator and her husband planned and set up the games and they surely did not disappoint! My girls got messier than last year - BY FAR - and we all had a great time!

Shelby being grumpy at first. She doesn't take to doing things in groups well - without Mommy by her side. So she ended up not being put on a team. She warmed up and joined in a little later.

Paige enjoyed Bear Hunt! The point of the game was to find as many gummy bears as possible, in a bowl of pudding, using only your mouth (and spitting the "cleaned" bears into a separate bowl).

Cheyenne playing the egg yolk relay race. Each team had to see how many egg yolks they could get from a bowl to a cup without them breaking! It definitely turned into a mess!

Paige and her team searching for marbles with their feet. The pool is filled with a water/cornstarch mix which turns the kids a pastey/white color!

Cheyenne's turn with Bear Hunt!

Shelby wanted to give it a try as well!

She got in on the cornstarch marble game earlier too (can you tell by her skin?).

She didn't get too messy!

Paige playing the egg yolk game.

Trying to get an egg yolk out of the bowl!

Paige sat down for a game of duck duck goose EGG. It's just like regular duck duck goose, only whoever is it cracks an egg on the head of the kid they pick!

Shelby posing for a picture.

Oh this girl! She got into the messy games and got as dirty as she possibly could!

All my girls at the end of the evening!

Our first annual Walk Worthy Day at the capitol was a huge success! The event was organized by our very own American Heritage Girls Vice Coordinator Beth Nafziger, our Trail Life/AHG charter rep Marvin Burr, and Representative John Carson. I went as an AHG leader with all my kiddos in tow. I took a bunch of pictures, but am limiting this post to ones of mostly my kids (with exception for the big group picture and people I've asked permission from before).

We *barely* made it to the bus stop to catch a Gwinnett Transit bus downtown. We did make it though and enjoyed not having to deal with traffic!

A lady from American Heritage Girls (I can't remember her name!) and Marvin Burr.

I absolutely love the details of the capitol building! There are so many interesting architectural designs, I ended up taking quite a few pictures of just them.

The entire group that showed up! People from many different troops across Georgia. My kids and I are all hiding in this picture somewhere!

One of the doorknobs.

Shelby freaking me out with about the height and her ability to get through the columns. She thought it was quite amusing!

The wood around the door frames.

Outside eating lunch, I noticed the reflection of the capitol on the glass building and thought it looked cool.

Our troops!

A lovely flower!

Over the windows on the outside of the capitol.

A fun part of the day was watching this police dog in action. Nobody bothered to let me know that they had hidden something for him to find right behind where I chose to sit! Thankfully I wasn't too much in his way though...

Shelby enjoying her conversation with Sarah.

Even the vents were pretty!

A picture with the AHG lady. My girls of course had to be silly!

With the Klinect girls, again my girls had to be the goofy ones!

Under the rotunda.

Emily and Paige across the rotunda.

Sarah with Shelby and Cheyenne.

My goofy girls!

All my kiddos on the steps before leaving.

...until she and Paige both crashed.

Random January Pictures

Here are the random extra pictures from January that didn't make it into other posts.

Cheyenne wanted me to take her picture with the flower in her hair!

The pretty flowers I got for my birthday.

Shelby was pouty while waiting for American Heritage Girls to start one evening.

Cheyenne lost tooth number two!

Cheyenne working on a bracelet - and peering at me through the hole.

Clayton enjoyed writing this out in pretzels. I don't remember why he was saying thank you.

It's getting so close to the end of the my 365 project! I can't wait to be finished, and yet, I kinda (but only kinda) want to continue. I'm looking forward to working on learning more - without the pressure of feeling the need to take constant pictures of get them on here. Anyway, here's my pictures from last week!

This is an extra picture from the end of the week. I still mostly miss Sundays, so I just try to plug in an extra picture from later in the week. I thought this was neat!

My girls before their award ceremony Monday evening.

We went to a friend's house and decorated gingerbread houses on Tuesday. Clayton was quite proud of his and just how fully covered it was!

A pretty day at Mamaw's house always leads to tree climbing! Cheyenne got higher than she's gone before, and of course Paige is as absolutely high as she can possibly get in the tree!

At school Thursday, I didn't see Shelby in the nursery. I asked Sophia where she was and she said that Shelby was in the box. I took the lid off and found her all curled up inside!

I skipped Friday, so this is from Saturday. We had Christmas with Jon's dad and stepmom. Shelby sat right down next to Grandpa and started "reading" her books.

A self portrait....of sorts.

Who I Am

My photo
We're the Presley family. Jon and I met and got married in 2004. The circumstances behind all that were not the best, but God has truly turned our many mistakes into good! Only by His grace and mercy are we where we are today. We have four wonderfully crazy kids that are between four and eight years old. Jon is an HVAC technician and I stay at home to attempt to teach and train our kids in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. It's a challenging job, and one I fail at constantly. But God does and will continue to sustain and uphold me and give me grace to do this amazing task he's called me to do. ~For nothing is impossible with God! Luke 1:37
