I'm a week late posting this, but it's been a very busy week! Getting ready for vacation, ongoing school work, and extra cooking makes for not much free time.

The front of my great-grandpa's old tackle box.

The contents inside were even more fascinating!!

At Bunten Road Park with Bethany and all the kiddos. Clayton climbed up to the top of this slide and realized it was higher than he thought. He was just a slight bit uncomfortable about making his way back down!

All the kiddos (including Patrick!) on the neat swing at Bunten Road Park.

First day of Covenant Classes for my crew. Not quite kindergarten, 1st grade, 3rd grade, and 4th grade. They were all excited to go!!

Shelby even more upset at me trying to get a picture of her pouty lip. She was terribly distraught that we had to park SO FAR away from the Zoo on Saturday (who knew there was some huge thing going on at Grant Park last Saturday?).

Shelby crashed that night....

I finally caught up with June! I'm so excited to have finished the pictures because it has just taken me so long. Anyway, these are the few that didn't make it into a previous post.

An always necessary goofy picture!

Shelby sleeping in what appears to be a horribly uncomfortable position.

Paige on the playground at the park.

Cheyenne on the playground.

Shelby just chillin' on the front porch.

A random weed.

My sweet girls!

The kids before free doughnut day.

I am super late posting my pictures from the first week of June. I must admit it was a hard week to keep up with pictures and I didn't take many except for one day when we went to the park. It was a busy week too I guess. I honestly don't remember it being that busy, but my girls were definitely really tired - and that shows in the pictures here!

I skipped Sunday, so this is from Clayton's Trail Life award ceremony Monday evening. We've thoroughly enjoyed being a part of such a wonderful group of people and look forward to continuing in the program in the fall!

On Tuesday we went to Lullwater Park with Bethany. I'll post more on that later. This and the one below are two of my favorites from the day. Looking up through the open top of the old mill.

Inside the old mill at Lullwater Park.

Paige fell asleep in Jon's lap!

Shelby got out of bed early (6:30am!) and didn't even make it to the bathroom before falling back to sleep.

Shelby passed out in the middle of the floor Friday afternoon! I guess she was tired!

Cheyenne fell asleep really early Saturday evening. Notice the theme this week?

In May we went camping with Clayton's Trail Life troop to Nancytown Group Campground. The weather was wonderful and we had a great weekend!

Within a few minutes of setting up camp, the girls made their way to the water. It was *freezing* but they insisted on playing in it for a little while (until they started to turn purple and I made them get out)!

Paige lounging out of the water.

Shelby on the swing someone set up.

My girls being silly!

Shelby rode her bike over and over and over again. She learned how to start pedaling on her own!

Cheyenne and Paige walking around the campsite.

Cheyenne helping Shelby out of the water.

Jon took Clayton fishing in the lake. They didn't catch anything, but Clayton enjoyed it anyway!

Cheyenne trying the slack line. She made it the whole way across and back without falling off!

Paige made it all the way across and back as well!

Clayton had more trouble and fell off about halfway through.

Shelby made it the whole way across several times and enjoyed playing on it after the other kids had moved on to another activity!

Shelby laid herself down for a nap Saturday afternoon.

Paige walking Mr. Peabody. (For anyone that knows Paige, she is scared of dogs, so this is a really big deal that she warmed up to him enough to ask to walk the dog!)

Shelby found a friend to play ball with her (Mr. Stuckey)!

Paige fell asleep during dinner Saturday evening!

This week was a struggle to think about pictures and making sure to get one regularly. I did take a picture every day, but not like I would have liked to. But hey, that just means we were otherwise busy this week (which can be a good thing)!

Sundays are a very busy day with church, lunch and nap (usually), and then back to church. Most of the time I would not even take my camera with me, so that leaves getting a picture in the evening after church (namely, bedtime). So this was what I was doing before bed: reading part Matthew Henry's commentary on the book of Matthew. I thought this note was a good one!

This is the ONLY picture I took Monday. My kiddos love doing their work in random places. The floor has always been a favorite though!

I couldn't decide on just one for Tuesday, so here's the first of two. Paige was concentrating very hard on the assignment Clayton had given her: figuring out a scrambled sentence.

Picture two for Tuesday. Cheyenne was diligently paying attention to Clayton's instructions for figuring out codes.

A brief stop at a spot I saw in downtown Lawrenceville. Paige is always ready to join in for photos!

Thursday morning was beautifully foggy when I woke up! I quickly got dressed and ran outside to see if I could get some pictures of the fog. This is a shot up the street from my cul-de-sac.

On Friday night Jon took Clayton to a Trail Life event. The girls wanted to stay up late in Mommy's bed.....and they made it about five minutes!

Another sewing day! I quilted and started the binding for a quilt for a baby shower gift! Bethany made the quilt top and I basted it to the back while at church on Thursday. She will finish up the binding later.

Who I Am

My photo
We're the Presley family. Jon and I met and got married in 2004. The circumstances behind all that were not the best, but God has truly turned our many mistakes into good! Only by His grace and mercy are we where we are today. We have four wonderfully crazy kids that are between four and eight years old. Jon is an HVAC technician and I stay at home to attempt to teach and train our kids in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. It's a challenging job, and one I fail at constantly. But God does and will continue to sustain and uphold me and give me grace to do this amazing task he's called me to do. ~For nothing is impossible with God! Luke 1:37
