This post is all about the animals!

First stop was the seahorses! They were so cute and their displays so colorful!

I loved these things too! I'm not sure what they were called, and the giant sea star is beautiful as well.

A little bitty miniature seahorse. Can you tell how small it is by the picture?

My kids loved the giant otters at the zoo. They were glad to be able to see some at the aquarium as well!

This fish tank amused me. I didn't get the waterfall and current in the picture, but these fish are all pointing toward the current and were huddled in a big group. It was fascinating to watch!

Three alligators lounging on a log.

This one got into the water and kept eyeing me with my camera.

I thought this fish tank was pretty.

This eel is so creepy looking! He kept discharging electricity, so we heard it over the speakers.

Beautiful birds - we tried to get them to talk, but I don't think they said anything to us.

The butterfly house was interesting too. We saw many beautiful butterflies!

This one's wings were translucent!

I loved the brown eyes on this one...

...but even more striking was the brilliant purple inside!

The penguins were funny to watch. They walk around like this to cool themselves off!

This penguin swam right up to the window and hung out for a while!

A giant sting ray swam right up against a tank. I love the way their underside looks!

I sped my shutter speed up a lot to get more detail on these jelly fish!

I loved this tank as it was one of the most colorful!

I'm a full week late posting this. And I really didn't want to post it now. I only took pictures two days that week, so all my pictures are from those two days. And they were all from my phone, not my camera. I have lost most of my motivation to bother with pictures. We haven't been doing much, so there's nothing "new" to capture on camera. Only one or two people even bother looking at this, so it certainly doesn't seem worth the effort, but then I don't want to have a 3/4 done project. So I'm trying to do better, and have slightly this past week. We'll see if I can get more motivated in the weeks to come!

We got this neat set of bubbles that are thicker and supposedly easy to catch and hold. The kids enjoyed playing with them - although the wind did make them a little difficult to get!

A bubble stuck to Shelby's face!

Cheyenne holding some bubbles.

Paige being goofy!

Paige and Cheyenne with their bubbles.

Cheyenne and Clayton's alligator they build at the library's first homeschool Lego WeDo program. They dramatically underestimated how many homeschoolers would show up for this event, so they didn't have the class that was supposed to happen, but the kids enjoyed building and programming anyway!

Cheyenne even got in on the programming part and enjoyed watching it work!

For our second week of park hopping, we didn't actually go to a park, but instead headed down to Zoo Atlanta. Both Bethany and I have memberships to the zoo, and with monthly visits the kids earn prizes and other neat things! Patrick was only a month old, so we were trying to keep things on the easier side for a little bit.

While getting the kids passports stamped at member services, the kids always love to play out front. Paige enjoyed balancing on the bike rack!

On our way into the zoo, we saw a few people gathered around this lady. When they walked away, the kids all gathered around to see what it was about. She talked to them all about this snake and they were very attentive!

The usual attempt at a group shot - there's usually one or two that aren't looking!

Goofy pictures are a tradition!

Mercy and those baby blues!

The alligators were finally at the new reptile house!

Some of the kids watching the turtles.

I was amused by all the numbers written on the turtles backs!

Where we usually stop to eat lunch by the komodo dragon. Sophia helping Shelby up!

Clayton helping Avalyn scale the pole.

Mercy wanted to try too!

Who I Am

My photo
We're the Presley family. Jon and I met and got married in 2004. The circumstances behind all that were not the best, but God has truly turned our many mistakes into good! Only by His grace and mercy are we where we are today. We have four wonderfully crazy kids that are between four and eight years old. Jon is an HVAC technician and I stay at home to attempt to teach and train our kids in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. It's a challenging job, and one I fail at constantly. But God does and will continue to sustain and uphold me and give me grace to do this amazing task he's called me to do. ~For nothing is impossible with God! Luke 1:37
