Clayton has always loved these giant styrofoam airplanes. While they never seem to last very long, I do like to get him one every once in a while when we find them on sale. Clayton spent a long time out in the culdesac throwing it again and again. I went out to watch and take a couple pictures.

We spent the week of June 14th at Mount Salem Baptist Church's VBS program. Clayton's best friend is the pastor's son there, and they invited us to join them for the week. The kids had never been to a vacation Bible school before. They were excited to go and really enjoyed spending time with friends!
Trying to help a certain young lady of mine - she couldn't quit scratching at a few bug bites, so I taped her fingers (much to her frustration).
On Monday we went to Tribble Mill Park with Bethany and family. The kids had a great time! I'll post more from that trip in another post.
I took a few pictures from my kids first night at VBS too, but this was a favorite from the day.
Crazy clothes night at VBS. Shelby finally turned her shirt around backwards right before this picture, but refused to do anything else crazy!
Paige dancing to a song at VBS.
Cheyenne getting dunked at family night!
On Friday we went to Freeman's Mill Park with some friends. I had fun playing with the settings on my camera and took these two completely different shots of the waterfall. I'm not sure how to explain what I did, but I liked the differences!
I missed taking any pictures on Saturday, so this is from Friday as well. I thought this was just a beautiful color - although I have no clue what it is!

On June 19th, I decided to take advantage of our free bowling coupons to treat the kids to a couple games of bowling. We were barely into our first game when Paige fell and cut a good gash in her chin. I wasn't sure if it was bad enough to need stitches, but decided to go ahead and take her to the doctor to have it looked at (after going by Stacy's house to get her opinion too). She ended up getting four stitches in her chin! Thankfully it's healed up now, but she'll have a little scar there for a while!
A nice gash!
Not bothered at all by the stitches.
Checking out how it was healing.
Back in June the kids and I met some friends at Freeman's Mill Park. We've been there before, but this time we actually went to get in the water! We had never done that before as the waterfall area is definitely not where you would want to play. But a little farther down from the waterfall is a nice calmer area that is great for swimming and playing. It's not really that deep (Shelby had no issue walking around), but it was enough to be a lot of fun! The kids spent the majority of their time together trying to build a giant pile of rocks - pulling them out of the water and piling them to the side.

This year, at the invitation of Clayton's best friend (who's father is the pastor at Mount Salem Baptist), we went to vacation Bible school. The kids had never been to one before, and really enjoyed going. We had a great week hanging out with some good friends and amazing people!
Shelby getting to be big stuff!
Shelby following along with the hand motions to a song.
Crazy clothes night. I had to get a picture before we left!
Clayton enjoying himself!
Shelby having a great time!
Cheyenne dancing along with a song.
Paige got into dancing as well!
Shelby got the moves down!
On family night (the last night of VBS), the church set up this huge tarp and ran the sprinklers over it and poured baby soap on it. It was fun and slippery!
Clayton giving the giant slip 'n slide a try!
Paige enjoyed it too!
Shelby didn't like the idea very much and so she just watched all the action.
Cheyenne about to throw bean bags at the dunking booth.
Pastor Clyde got drenched first!
Clayton and Cheyenne both got dunked! (And I actually did too, but didn't get any pictures of that!)

In June we went with Bethany, her kids, and Mom to Tribble Mill Park. While the park itself is decent enough, we went off the beaten path to a natural falls for the kids to play in the water. It comes out of the lake through a dam and flows over rocks where it pools up as well. The kids and I had a great time sliding down the rocks and into the pools!
The kids could hardly wait to get there and took off for the water as soon as we rounded the curve where they could see this!
Mom even got in the water for a picture!
Avalyn and Paige at the top of the hill.
Avalyn and Paige going down one of the best rapids!
Shelby pouting while sitting in the water. Not sure why she wasn't enjoying herself.
Sophia playing in the water.
Sophia and Shelby splashing and playing together in the water.
Bethany taking a picture of me taking a picture of her!
Clayton and Kyle going down the rapids.
Cheyenne playing in the water.
Keira sitting in the water near the top of the hill.
Mamaw hanging out in the shade with Patrick and Mercy.
(Most) of the kiddos on the way back to the car.
