It's a new year! We're three days into 2015 and I can't believe 2014 is already over. Time seems to move so quickly. I've had some time to reflect on the past year, and would like to do so many things differently. I haven't been as diligent in many areas of my life, particularly when it comes to reading God's word and praying and meditating on it. But with God all things are possible and with his mercy and grace, I can learn to be who he wants me to be! So this year is going to be different. Better. There are so many things I want to do and learn. Ways I need to change and grow. So this is the start. A new blog with a new perspective. So, here's a small list of things I'd like to try to do consistently throughout the year.
- Read through a large portion of Matthew Henry's commentary. It's quite large, so I doubt I could read even half of it, but I'd like to see how far I can get.
- Complete a 365 photography project. I'm loving playing around with my new DSLR camera, but I'd love to learn so much more about it. This should definitely help with that!
- Swing my kettle bells! I bought some last summer and started great - only to fizzle out too quickly. I want to start and keep up with swinging them regularly, at least three days a week - or more if I can!
- Sew. I've sorely neglected my sewing machine in the last couple years. I don't plan to make loads of time for sewing, but I would like to finish several projects including my I-Spy quilt that's been sitting for far too long!
Here's to a new year! With God all things are possible!
I hope you're able to achieve your goals- they are great ones! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks! I'm looking forward to being more diligent in pursuing worthy things (instead of being lazy)!
