It's been a crazy week as we've been dealing with sickness here for most of it. Thankfully it's nothing horribly awful - just some yucky coughs and snotty noses. All that to say, photography kinda went to the back burner this week. I actually skipped a day too (the one day I felt the worst)! But I still continued with the (modified) photo challenge this week.
Day 8: Clouds
Sunday was a beautiful day and as the kids had already been struggling with sickness, we stayed home from church. During the warmest part of the afternoon, I let them all go outside for a little bit to get some fresh air and sunshine. I laid down on the trampoline and saw this cloud moving past. Thankfully I had my camera nearby!
Day 9: Close-up
Monday was a big day for us. We finally got a piano! We've been talking about getting one for quite a while (and more so after Cheyenne decided she wanted to give up the violin in favor of the piano). We purchased this at the end of December, but it had a couple things that needed to be fixed before we could have it delivered. They were finally able to take care of that last week and so it was delivered Monday. The kids have been loving it ever since! I just hope their joy and enthusiasm doesn't wear off!
Day 10: From a high angle
Tuesday was actually the day I skipped because I felt so bad I laid on the couch most of the day. This picture is from Wednesday, the first time my kids have really played a game of Monopoly. (And how could we not with an address like ours?)
Day 11: A bad habit
During the same Monopoly game, I caught a picture of Shelby sucking on her finger. I've always thought it was so cute, but I'm counting it as a bad habit for purposes of the photo challenge.
Day 12: Childhood memory
I didn't take many pictures Thursday. I wasn't sure this one really fit the category, but Clayton is playing with Legos, which I have fond memories of doing myself when I was younger. (Even though I didn't get much of his building project in the picture...oops.)
Day 13: Something pink
The girls all needed new swimsuits for this year, so I took advantage of some more modest ones they had at Costco. Rash guards have become a necessity because of two of the three girls proclivity to burning. And the skirts are decent length too. They loved trying them on and didn't want to change back - even though it was cold. They can't wait to be able to go swimming!
Day 14: Change
While the rest of us finished up an over four hour game of Monopoly (Shelby bankrupted out after about two hours), Shelby decided it was time for a change...to her hair. She helped herself to the scissors and cut some hair from the side of her head (the hairs laying over her ear that are curled - used to be as long as the hair in the back). I think all the girls have done this at some point! (And just to point out, Shelby was upset about me helping with her pajamas, not about her hair.)
Oh, my! I haven't had one cute their hair... Yet!
ReplyDeleteI think all three of my girls have cut their hair at some point! Thankfully none of them cut anything too dramatic!
