There was a lot going on last week, and I managed to miss two days! I filled in those missing days with some extras from other days.
My sweet girls wearing their new skirts to church on Sunday. I found these maxi skirts at Walmart for $4.98! While they might not last forever because of cheaper quality, they were definitely worth getting for such a good price.
Monday was the annual Memorial Day picnic at the Howland's farm. Clayton got to try his hand at kayaking for the first time - and he loved it! Now he's on a mission to earn enough money to buy one!
I missed Tuesday and Wednesday, so this is from Thursday at mom's house. The kids got all dressed up and told us to wait for them on the couch. Then they came marching in like a band!
On Thursday evening we went to a fire station with Clayton's Trail Life troop. I took some group photos, but didn't want to post other kid's without permission. So I thought I'd post this one I took of the fire trucks and ambulance.
Shelby's reflection in the fire truck. The original was a little too dark, so I lightened it up a little. It's still not as clear as I was hoping it'd be, but I thought it was neat!
The girls went camping with Jon Friday evening (and sadly didn't take any camera!), so I stayed home with Clayton and worked on some sewing projects. This was my first project I worked on - a new Christmas tree skirt. It turned out better than I expected! Thanks to Bethany for a little advice on how to alter the tutorial I wasn't quite following!
The sun was coming through the trees so lovely Saturday evening and after Jon removed dinner from the grill, I peaked outside again and the smoke was lingering in the sunshine. It was so neat I had to snap a picture! (Notice the cardinal on the power line?)
